Cetyl myristoleate

natural health supplement for Joint function, pain, inflammation & immune system modulation

Cetyl myristoleate may be the best natural option for managing joint pain, tissue inflammation improving joint and connective tissue function.

More and more people, who are experiencing the impact of joint, tissue pain and inflammation, are seeking a natural supplement to help restore joint and connective and the immune system response to pain and inflammation without the mind-numbing effects and possible addition of prescription and drug store remedies.

One possibility is a natural supplement called CMO (short for Cetyl myristoleate).  It’s been shown to have multiple biological properties, including:

  1. Joint and connective tissue support
  2. Anti-inflammatory agent
  3. Pain reliever
  4. Immune system modulator

It was discovered in 1972 by Harry W. Diehl, Ph.D., a researcher at the National Institutes of Health.   Cetyl myristoleate is a relative of the Omega-9 fatty acid found in olive oil.

Studies supporting the use of Cetyl myristoleate for joint and connective tissue function, pain, immune and inflammatory response.

There are several studies supporting the use of Cetyl myristoleate as a natural supplement to support joint and connective tissue function; modulation of pain, immune and inflammatory responses – since its discovery.

  1. 1997 – Joint European Hospital Studies Program – double blind study
106 people received cetyl myristoleate, 63% showed improved joint function compared to 15% for the 226 people in the placebo group.
  2. 2001 – 1814 arthritis patients
87% of the subjects in the study had greater than 50% arthritis pain relief and recovery.  65% of those showed from 75% – 100% recovery following a sixteen day regimen. All types of arthritis were positively affected by CMO.
NOTE:  Only those subjects with liver damage or digestive problems or those taking immune suppressing medications were not helped.
  3. 2002 – Journal of Rheumatology – double blind study.
64 people with chronic knee pain
Cetyl myristoleate (CMO) provided a significant functional improvement in range of motion compared to placebo. The study concluded that:  “… Cetyl myristoleate (CMO) may be an alternative to the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for the treatment of osteoarthritis.”

While more research is indicated,
. . . Cetyl myristoleate (CMO) has been shown to support the body’s ability to lubricate joints and connective tissue; modulate pain, immune system and inflammatory responses.

People who experience issues with joint function and tissue pain, immune system and inflammatory response may appreciate the way Cetyl myristoleate (CMO) helps promote body’s ability to address these issues.
